Queremos Escucharte is proud to partner with the Walla Walla Public Library for a conversation with artist, writer, and adventurer Tessa Hulls. Hulls will share Feeding Ghosts, an illustrated memoir of intergenerational and immigrant trauma with starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, and Booklist. Also recently featured in the New York Times

A reception with light refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the WWPL main reading room, followed by Hulls’ talk at 6:45 p.m. Spanish interpretation will be available on-site at this event, with ASL interpretation available with advance notice. More about the artist: Tessa Hulls’ essays have appeared in The Washington Post, Atlas Obscura, and Adventure Journal, and her comics have been published in The Rumpus, City Arts, and Spark. She has received grants from the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, 4Culture, and the McMillen Foundation, and she is a recipient of the Washington Artist Trust Arts Innovator Award. Feeding Ghosts is her first book.
