Erik is a Walla Walla native and he was a student intern for The Listeners Project: Queremos Escucharte from Fall 2021 to Spring 2022. Erik is currently a Hispanic Studies major at Whitman College. He enjoys connecting with the Walla Walla community to find an understanding of different cultures in the valley because for him it is important to listen to what others have to say about their lived experiences. 

Erik’s favorite thing to do in Walla Walla is playing volleyball with friends, eating at local restaurants, and watching the sunset with others. As a Walla Walla native that has lived here almost all his life, Erik wanted to know more about the community and made everyone feel welcome and a sense of belonging.
